Lift to Rise
Affordable Housing Pipeline Portal

Lift to Rise and the Housing CAN are radically changing the way affordable housing is envisioned, planned, resourced, and built in the Coachella Valley. Our Affordable Housing Pipeline Portal is an interactive mapping tool that shares progress on projects in the pipeline, while also spotlighting opportunities for future development.

The pipeline contains more than 9,300 affordable housing units ranging from those in the early planning stages to those completed and housing families. While the number of planned units often changes as a project moves forward, we’re proud to be counting more than 3,300 units already completed or progressing toward completion as of April 2025.

Status Units
Completed 1,405
Under Construction 990
Starting Construction Soon 940

Stories from Home

Luis is retired after more than 20 years of service with Palm Springs Welding. He has seen the health benefits of stable housing on his neighbors. “Now that they have a place to actually call home, their health starts to go up. They do better, all around.”

The health of Coachella Valley residents is an important reason for identifying and tracking affordable housing developments through the pipeline portal.
