Lift to Rise is a collaboration of more than 70 partners, including private and public sector leaders and community advocates, working on a bold plan to radically increase housing stability and economic mobility for everyone in the Coachella Valley.

Affordable housing and livable wages

Nearly two-thirds of residents spend over 30% of their earnings on rent. When the minimum wage is $15.50 an hour, that doesn’t leave much money for food, healthcare, and other necessities. It’s time for our low-income and working communities to benefit from the Coachella Valley’s economy prosperity. We’re advocating for wages to reflect the real cost of living.

2024-26 Action Plan

Every two years, Lift to Rise and community leaders come together to reevaluate our shared vision and strategies for addressing housing affordability and economic mobility in the Coachella Valley. Alongside more than 75 partners in our Housing Collaborative Action Network (CAN), we created the 2024–26 Action Plan. This is our biannual roadmap for addressing high rents and low wages across our region.
