‘There’s no place to go’: Coachella Valley rents skyrocket, squeezing working class
Rent prices across the Coachella Valley have ballooned in recent years, driven by a shortage of supply amid a white-hot housing market. Rents in a majority of Coachella Valley cities have grown between roughly 45% and 55% over the last three years, according to Zillow data provided to The Desert Sun.
The United Lift Rental Assistance program to end, new relaunch coming in the fall
Riverside County residents are still able to apply through the online application before July 29. Rental assistance funds, which are provided by various federal and local sources, will still be disbursed through the end of 2022, while funding lasts.
