The Communications Specialist leads execution of all Lift to Rise communications, including public relations, editorial planning, digital, and social media, consistently articulating the organization’s mission and moving audiences to action. This role requires a creative and strategic professional with exceptional writing ability, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be proactive and adept at building positive relationships with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for visual design. This is an on-site, in-person role.

The Grant Writer will play a key role in Lift to Rise’s revenue development through proposal writing and by managing relationships with foundations, governments and other large donors. The Grant Writer is responsible for a robust annual grant application and reporting schedule and will work collaboratively across departments to help ensure alignment and consistency in funder messaging and engagement. This position will write and edit high-quality proposals and materials from concept to completion, as well as coordinate all supporting documentation for grant requests and reports. The Grant Writer will steward relationships with funders, providing detailed overviews and information about the ongoing work of Lift to Rise. After an initial onboarding period, this role has the option to be hybrid as long as applicants are able to commute to the Lift to Rise Palm Desert office a minimum of 1-2 days per week.

The Resident Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting Lift to Rise’s Resident Engagement Initiatives and Collaborative Action Networks (CANs), comprised of cross-sector partners focusing on improving specific outcomes in health, housing and social connectedness. Assist CANs with identifying strategies related to key priority outcomes and contributing indicators, as well as supporting the development and implementation of CAN action plans. Assist with community outreach, resident engagement, Committees by Cities, and Resident Leadership Table. Assist team with administrative coordination for CAN meetings, Lift to Rise projects and grants, and other tasks as assigned.

This is position requires travel within Riverside County, particularly West Riverside County, as an essential job function.*
